Ravi Chhabria - Founder & Producer, Local Lens Media
Ravi Chhabria is the driving force behind Local Lens Media, combining over 11 years of expertise in finance and banking with over five years of experience as a business owner. In 2022, Ravi took a bold step to pursue his passion for storytelling, beginning his journey at Vancouver Film School. Since graduating, he has produced two acclaimed documentary series now streaming on platforms such as Amazon Prime, Tubi, Telus Optik TV, and Apple TV. Along the way, Ravi has also worked on commercials for local businesses, weddings, real estate videos, and community events, bringing a unique blend of creativity and professionalism to every project. Local Lens Media specializes in projects of all sizes, from ultra-low-budget shoots to big-budget productions, including series and feature films. Ravi’s goal is to craft content that not only meets clients' needs but also tells heartfelt stories that leave a lasting impact.
Dhruv Rakesh Soni - Co-Founder & Technical Director, Local Lens Media
Dhruv Rakesh Soni is the creative and technical backbone of Local Lens Media, bringing a decade of expertise in filming and editing to the forefront. His journey began in Hyderabad, India, where he mastered the art of shooting and editing breathtaking wedding films that captured the heart of celebrations. Driven by a passion for storytelling, Dhruv moved to Vancouver to elevate his craft, studying at Vancouver Film School and completing his Bachelor's in Media Arts with a specialization in editing and cinematography.
Collaborating and learning alongside Ravi Chhabria at film school was a transformative experience for Dhruv. Working as a technician on projects like Rising Together, League on BC, and Adopt Don't Shop gave him hands-on exposure to storytelling and production that reached global platforms like Tubi, Prime Video, Apple TV, and Telus Optik TV. These experiences expanded Dhruv's creative horizons and refined his technical expertise.
As Co-Founder and Technical Director of Local Lens Media, Dhruv combines his meticulous attention to detail with a passion for crafting compelling stories. From intimate wedding films to high-budget productions, Dhruv ensures every project is visually stunning and resonates deeply with its audience, continuing to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation in filmmaking.
